Special Mission Veterans Association Gwangju Branch Holds 'Dokdo Photo Exhibition'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan City Branch of the Republic of Korea Special Mission Meritorious Persons Association (Branch Chief Oh Sumyeong) announced on the 14th that it will hold a "Dokdo Photo Exhibition" at Hwangryong Chinsu Park in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.

This follows the event held the previous day by the Gwangju Metropolitan City Branch.

The Special Mission Meritorious Persons Association Gwangju Branch holds an annual Dokdo photo exhibition to inform citizens about the beauty of Dokdo, our territory, in order to protect Dokdo's sovereignty.

In addition, amid the continued outrageous remarks and historical distortions by the Japanese government regarding Dokdo, the association aims to correct these misunderstandings, reestablish a proper historical awareness of Dokdo, and promote patriotism and security awareness among local citizens and youth.

Branch Chief Oh Sumyeong said, "I hope this photo exhibition will be an opportunity for local citizens and youth to once again feel the preciousness of Dokdo," adding, "The exhibition is being held while thoroughly observing COVID-19 quarantine activities and guidelines at the venue, so we hope many people will come to view the photos."

Meanwhile, the Special Mission Meritorious Persons Association plans to take active measures to continuously condemn Japan's irrational decisions, such as the discharge of radioactive contaminated water into the East Sea, to ensure that these wrong decisions are withdrawn.
