[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Korea Inclusive Finance Agency announced on the 12th that it will participate in 'Korea Fintech Week 2021' and hold a seminar.
Korea Fintech Week is a global fintech expo hosted by the Financial Services Commission. It will be held simultaneously online and offline for three days starting from the 26th under the theme of 'Fintech and Sustainable Financial Innovation.'
The seminar topic of the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency is 'Transition to a Contactless Society and Inclusive Finance.' It will discuss the innovation of inclusive financial services, ways to strengthen inclusive finance by fintech companies, and bridging the digital divide.
Lee Gye-moon, President of the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, who will deliver the keynote speech, will share the innovative achievements proactively pursued since 2019. The presenter, Lee Hye-min, CEO of Finda, will introduce the operational results of the loan comparison service and ways to strengthen inclusive finance using MyData. Oh Yoon-hae, a researcher at the Korea Development Institute (KDI), will also propose collaboration with fintech companies in credit and asset management for low-income and credit-challenged individuals.
Following this, a discussion will be held on inclusion measures for vulnerable groups with low digital financial accessibility and revitalizing financial management for the low-income class.
President Lee evaluated, “This seminar will be a time to consider ways to strengthen inclusive finance between policy inclusive finance and fintech companies.”
