[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] A total of 164 Korean company officials staying in India, where the spread of COVID-19 is severe, returned to Korea on the 9th via a special charter flight.
The special flight (OZ 7683) operated by Asiana Airlines, carrying Korean nationals who were in India for business trips and other reasons, departed from New Delhi and arrived at Incheon International Airport at 8:02 a.m. on the same day.
This is the third repatriation following 172 Korean residents who arrived from Chennai on the 4th and 203 Korean residents who arrived from Bengaluru on the 7th.
Most of the passengers on this special flight from New Delhi were business personnel related to the construction of the Samsung Display factory, and it is reported that no Korean residents were included.
The initially scheduled number of passengers was 171, but the final count decreased to 164.
They will undergo a two-week quarantine period (7 days in a facility quarantine + 7 days self-quarantine) and will receive a total of three diagnostic tests in Korea.
