[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Global sports brand Oakley announced on the 7th that it has simultaneously launched the sports glasses "Kato," which condenses 45 years of technological expertise, in markets worldwide.
Oakley Kato is a functional eyewear designed to naturally fit the contours of the face. During the development process, durability and performance tests were conducted on world-class athletes such as NFL player Patrick Mahomes, professional cyclist Mark Cavendish, BMX rider Nigel Sylvester, and IndyCar driver Joseph Newgarden, and functions were added based on their feedback.
The Oakley Lake System is a system that finely adjusts the angle of the temples (the arms of the sunglasses) to control how closely the lenses fit the face. The included multiple nose pads offer options to replace the nose rests in various sizes. Additionally, the glasses are lightweight yet highly durable and do not easily slip off during activities.
An Oakley brand manager stated, “Kato is an innovative design product that Oakley, which has introduced high-performance sports eyewear such as Jawbreaker, Sutro, and Radarlock, presents by condensing 45 years of expertise as a leading sports eyewear brand. With its groundbreaking design and functionality that overcome visual limitations, it will provide a sports performance experience that takes a step further.”
