[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Senior Welfare Center (Director Jeon Seokbok) announced on the 27th that it has provided assistive devices to 71 elderly individuals.
With 6.18 million won raised through an online platform, assistive devices such as silver cars, canes, bath chairs, anti-slip mats, and safety handles, which the elderly need, were purchased and delivered and installed in each household.
An elderly person who received a silver car support said, "I couldn't afford to buy an expensive silver car, so I used an umbrella as a cane when going out, and the tip of the umbrella wore out, causing me to almost fall many times, but now I am grateful to be able to go out safely with the silver car."
Director Jeon Seokbok said, "We will continue to do our best to serve the elderly so that local seniors can live their daily lives safely without fall accidents."
Meanwhile, to participate in donations for the underprivileged, you can search for 'Gwangju Seo-gu Senior Welfare Center' on the online fundraising platforms Naver Happybean and Kakao Together Value, where donations can be made according to each story.
