Samsung SDS Expands 'Digital Transformation' with Integrated AI Platform

Samsung SDS is strengthening its support for digital transformation across various industries by platformizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

According to Samsung SDS on the 22nd, 'Brightics AI' is an integrated AI platform that rapidly collects, analyzes, visualizes vast amounts of data generated in multiple industrial sectors, and even suggests solutions. Currently, Brightics AI is being utilized by companies, universities, and research institutes in diverse industries such as manufacturing, distribution, logistics, and healthcare both domestically and internationally.

In manufacturing sites, Brightics AI analyzes manufacturing process data to detect product defects in advance. In the distribution sector, it predicts sales and manages inventory at electronics stores. In logistics, Brightics AI collects and analyzes threats to logistics delays caused by global natural disasters and social issues. In medical institutions, it analyzes various medical data to predict the risk of developing specific cancers and the likelihood of recurrence tailored to individual characteristics.

Beyond these fields, Samsung SDS obtained the highest grade GS certification from the Korea Information and Communication Technology Association (TTA) last year and is also promoting projects targeting government, local governments, and public institutions.

Samsung SDS is also making an all-out effort in AI research. Leading with the AI Research Center, about 400 AI experts, including around 60 PhD-level researchers, are driving technology research and commercialization. Additionally, through the 'Brightics Academy' in collaboration with Seoul National University, KAIST, and others, Samsung SDS supports lectures and research. A Samsung SDS official stated, "We are leading the cultivation of AI talent, data analysis experts, and the activation of the ecosystem."
