The county carries out various support projects every year to establish a stable farming settlement and self-reliance foundation for young farmers.

This year's young farmer nurturing support projects consist of 3 projects with 300 million KRW invested in 8 locations.

The “Customized Support Project for Young Farmers,” which aims to help young farmers who are beginners in farming settle stably, supports 3 locations with 150 million KRW, expanding advanced technology-based facilities such as Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to establish a stable income base.

Additionally, the “4-H Member Farming Settlement Support Project,” supporting 4 locations (4-H members) with 120 million KRW, and the “Young Farmer Startup Support Project for Farming Succession,” supporting ICT advanced facility equipment at 1 location with 30 million KRW, are also being promoted.

The county is encouraging and supporting young farmers' participation in public contest projects to expand farming bases and activate startups, achieving results, and is also focusing on securing local professional farmers and strengthening capabilities to respond to the decline in the agricultural population and rural aging.

The Agricultural Technology Center will promote capacity-building education for young 4-H members in 2021.

Also, for four items?rice farming, field crops (including fruit trees), livestock, and facility horticulture?groups will be formed by item to disseminate new technologies through item-specific customized education and support member activity revitalization.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, “We will do our best to fulfill our role as a strong supporter by expanding various education and support projects so that young people can establish a stable farming foundation and become self-reliant.”
