Ateone and Elsolu Sign AI Technology Development MOU with Hanyang University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] EightOne announced on the 8th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with AI translation and voice recognition specialist Elsolu and Hanyang University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation to jointly develop a next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) assistant system.

The next-generation AI assistant system consists of a hybrid natural language processing and dialogue management algorithm called the 'Assistant Engine,' a user interface (UI) for displaying conversation content, an assistant engine integration framework, counselor intervention management, a multi-user service, and an assistant platform that performs various roles.

The AI assistant system has recently been actively introduced in public institution civil complaint consultations and financial services. However, according to the company, it has limitations in conversation comprehension and context-specific information provision due to its restricted role of recognizing user intent through keyword matching and providing prepared menus.

Starting with this MOU signing, EightOne plans to develop a conversational system specialized in providing information for the financial sector and industrial intelligence through organic technical cooperation among the three companies. The company expects that once the technology development is completed, it will be possible to provide a high level of conversation comprehension and customized information according to situations, surpassing the limitations of existing assistant systems. They plan to introduce a system with versatility that can be used in various information provision fields by developing a scalable AI assistant structure.

Choi Cheolsun, CEO of EightOne, stated, “Once the AI assistant development is completed, we plan to expand its application range to digital twin, industrial intelligence, and apply next-generation AI-based assistants to provide smart defense solutions.”
