One confirmed case in Tongyeong, who tested positive the previous day, was found through epidemiological investigation to have had contact with a confirmed case related to the Jinju sauna. Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed cases related to the Jinju sauna has increased to 189.

Among the 22 confirmed cases in Geoje, 19 were confirmed to be related to Geoje entertainment facilities. The cumulative number of confirmed cases related to Geoje entertainment facilities has risen to 46.

The 3 confirmed cases in Namhae are family members. After a man in his 50s tested positive, two additional family members were confirmed positive during contact tracing.

The 2 confirmed cases in Hapcheon had contact with a confirmed case from Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. The infection routes of the remaining confirmed cases are unknown.

As a result, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the province has increased to 2,496 (344 hospitalized, 2,140 discharged, 12 deceased).

Meanwhile, the vaccination rate in the province, as of 4 p.m. on the same day, stands at 93.8%, with 47,910 out of 51,093 eligible individuals registered for vaccination having received their shots.
