At Least Two Youth Organizations from Seoul and Provinces Must Apply Together
Apply for Projects on Jobs, Housing, Culture, and Life
Approximately 10 Groups to Receive a Total of 350 Million KRW in Support
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Seoul Metropolitan Government will provide up to 30 million KRW to projects where Seoul and regional youth collaborate to solve community issues related to culture, daily life, and more.
On the 8th, Seoul announced that it will discover around 10 projects under the 'Youth Exchange Support Project - Possibilities of Connection,' which involves youth organizations collaborating, and provide a total of 350 million KRW in funding.
This project is conducted by forming consortia of youth organizations from Seoul and regional areas to plan and execute projects. For example, youth organizations from Seoul and other regions can establish cooperative systems to develop exchange models or experiment with business models such as creating youth villages to address youth issues in local communities related to jobs, housing, culture, and daily life.
Among the groups selected last year were 'Holding on with Art' (Buyeo, Chungnam), which reduces cultural imbalance between regions, and 'Life Test Bed in Jeonju' (Jeonbuk Jeonju), a complex youth hub space where housing, activities, and work are conducted in one place. In addition, over 2,800 youth participated in the projects.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government expects that cooperation between Seoul and regional organizations will share experiences, strengthen problem-solving capabilities through the exchange of human and material resources, and expand the stage of activities to local areas, thereby increasing participation opportunities. Applications are open through the Integrated Subsidy Management System from the 8th until 6 p.m. on the 26th. A project briefing session will also be held via video conference on the 19th.
Consortia consisting of two or more corporations, companies, or organizations (regardless of profit or non-profit) from Seoul and other regions, whose representatives are youth (aged 19 to 39 as of the announcement date), can jointly apply. Applicants must fill out and submit the form attached to the announcement. The project announcement can be found on the Seoul Youth Portal and the Seoul Metropolitan Government website.
Seoul plans to support selected organizations with subsidy education, building a network of participating organizations, linking with target local governments, and online and offline promotion.
