Lim Jong-sik, Superintendent of Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education, Participates in Children's Traffic Safety 'Relay Challenge'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education announced on the 27th that Superintendent Lim Jong-sik participated in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's ongoing 'Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge' to establish a culture of practicing traffic safety in school zones .

The 'Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge' was first launched by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on December 9 last year. It is conducted in a relay format where participants post messages about children's traffic safety on social networking services (SNS) and recommend three next participants.

Superintendent Lim Jong-sik, who was nominated by Governor Lee Cheol-woo of Gyeongbuk Province to participate in this campaign, posted a photo holding the slogan "Stop at 1! Look both ways at 2! Wait for 3 seconds! Prevent 4 high-risk behaviors!" on SNS. He nominated Yoon Dong-chun, Chief of Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency, Kim Yong-seok, Head of Gyeongbuk Branch of the Road Traffic Authority, and Kim Seong-cheol, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Provincial School Operation Committee Association as the next participants.

Superintendent Lim said, "I participated in the Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge to build a national consensus on preventing children's traffic accidents," adding, "I hope this challenge will help establish a safety-first culture in school zones."

Meanwhile, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education is making efforts to create a safe school environment by deploying 1,088 learning guardians, 22 more than last year, in traffic safety vulnerable areas within school zones and operating the Uiseong Safety Experience Center.
