SG, Ascon Selected as the Best Company in Road Paving Construction Industry

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] SG (CEO Park Changho), an asphalt and ready-mixed concrete manufacturing company, announced on the 15th that it was selected as the top company in the road paving construction industry by the Korea Specialty Contractors Association and received the ‘Incheon Metropolitan City Chairman’s Award in the Road Paving Construction Sector (Industry Order Award).’

The Korea Specialty Contractors Association annually selects and awards the top companies based on performance by industry. SG was awarded the grand prize again this year, as it was last year, marking seven consecutive years as the ‘Top Company in Road Paving Construction.’

Last year, SG distributed its eco-friendly asphalt facility EGR+ (a first-class carcinogen removal facility) to 11 companies nationwide, and in January this year, it signed an asphalt supply contract worth 14.5 billion KRW with the Incheon Procurement Office. In 2021, it began commercializing EcoSteelAscon, a construction new technology currently under development.

An SG representative stated, “Being selected as the top road paving construction company for seven consecutive years is supported by our proven production capacity verified by asphalt supply volume, continuous investment in asphalt R&D, and recognition as the number one company in the asphalt industry.” He added, “This year, we will accelerate the commercialization of EcoSteelAscon and the distribution of eco-friendly asphalt facilities that capture first-class carcinogens.”
