NH Nonghyup Bank Operates Mobile Branches… Shinhan, Woori, and IBK Run Flexible Branches

However, this holiday season, due to COVID-19, most banks except NH Nonghyup Bank are not operating mobile branches, so it is advised to actively use ATMs.

According to the banking sector on the 11th, NH Nonghyup Bank is operating mobile branches at the Hanam Dream Rest Area on the Jungbu Expressway and the Nonghyup Seongnam Distribution Center until today to provide financial convenience to customers using highways and agricultural and livestock product markets. Operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. NH Nonghyup Bank has enabled contactless (untact) withdrawal of New Year’s money through ATMs equipped with a dedicated mobile branch program in response to the COVID-19 situation. Additionally, various financial services such as cash deposits and withdrawals and account transfers are provided for the convenience of returning travelers.

NH Nonghyup Bank is also offering a Safe Service from the 9th to the 16th. The Safe Service allows customers to store valuables in unused rental safes or office safes free of charge during the Seol holiday period.

Meanwhile, Woori Bank is operating flexible branches instead of mobile branches. Fourteen currency exchange booths inside the Airport Financial Center are targeted, and currency exchange is available from the 11th to the 14th. Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 operates from 5 a.m. to midnight, and Terminal 2 operates from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. This will be good news for travelers who forgot to exchange currency before departure.

Additionally, four Foreign Financial Centers frequently visited by foreigners will operate for one day on the 14th. The centers in Ansan, Gimhae, Uijeongbu, and Gimpo will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing currency exchange and remittance services for foreigners.

Shinhan Bank offers currency exchange services until the 14th at Incheon International Airport, Gimpo Airport, and Cheongju Airport branches. The Gimhae International Airport branch operates currency exchange for one day on the 11th. Operating hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Incheon International Airport, 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Gimpo Airport, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cheongju Airport branch, and 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Gimhae International Airport branch.

Hana Bank operates account opening, remittance, and currency exchange services on the 14th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Wongok-dong Foreigners Center, Wongok-dong Foreign Exchange Center branch, and Hyehwa-dong Sunday Remittance Center. From the 11th to the 14th, currency exchange booths at Incheon International Airport Terminals 1 and 2 operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

IBK (Industrial Bank of Korea) operates an ATM at the Ansan Foreign Exchange Remittance Center branch on the 14th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
