On the 5th, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced that the official notice for the 2021 first round of elementary, middle, and high school qualification exams will be posted on its website.
Applications can be submitted either on-site or online, according to the applicant's preference. On-site applications are accepted until the 19th, and online applications until the 18th. The on-site application location is the Yongsan Technical High School training center. Individuals showing COVID-19 symptoms, those in self-quarantine, or confirmed cases cannot apply on-site. The exam will be held on April 10, and the results can be checked on May 11 on the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education website. Detailed information such as exam schedule, subjects, and eligibility can be found in the official notice on the website.
This year’s qualification exam allows not only self-quarantined individuals but also confirmed COVID-19 cases to take the exam. Information for COVID-19 related examinees will be provided on the website on March 26.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education operates a 'Convenience Support Desk for Disabled Examinees' at the application site. They provide guidance on selecting a nearby test center, assistance with filling out the ‘Application for Disabled Convenience Provision’ for services such as reading assistance, writing assistance, and enlarged test papers, as well as the ‘Visiting Qualification Exam’ service for severely disabled individuals.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education stated, "To prevent COVID-19 infection and spread, thorough disinfection, access control, and provision of quarantine supplies are being implemented at the application site. Applicants must wear masks when visiting the application site," and urged, "We recommend refraining from visiting the application site and instead using the online application, which is available 24 hours with a personal joint certificate."
