Our Desired Employee Loan Limit Reduced from 200 Million KRW Last Year to 50 Million KRW After Additional Adjustment
[Asia Economy Reporter Wondara] Woori Bank has decided to uniformly lower the credit limit of its main overdraft loans, including those for professionals, to 50 million KRW.
A Woori Bank official said on the 28th, "We will lower the limits of the main overdraft accounts currently in operation to 50 million KRW," adding, "This will apply only to overdraft accounts starting from the 29th of this month."
The accounts with lowered limits include the ‘Woori Special Loan (previously 100 million KRW)’ targeting doctors, lawyers, and other professionals. In addition, it covers 10 major products such as ‘Woori Main Transaction Employee Loan (previously 100 million KRW)’ and ‘Woori First Salary Credit Loan (previously 80 million KRW).’ Details regarding the reduced limits will be announced on the website this afternoon.
Earlier, Woori Bank resumed sales of the non-face-to-face credit loan ‘Woori WONhaneun Employee Loan,’ which had been suspended last year, lowering the overdraft limit from 100 million KRW to 50 million KRW. For this product, the limit was previously reduced from 200 million KRW to 100 million KRW in November last year.
A Woori Bank official explained, "As household loans have been continuously increasing recently, this measure is to manage them stably and encourage practical use."
