On the 26th at 8 PM, LG Electronics will unveil the LG Whisen Tower air conditioner through the LG Whisen Air Conditioner website and LG Electronics' official YouTube channel.
The LG Whisen Tower applies a design that has been completely changed for the first time in six years, creating a space interior design that harmonizes with any living room. Compared to previous models, it minimizes direct airflow to people and enables fast and powerful cooling with the '4X Concentrated Cooling' function. Additionally, it features a 5-step clean management mode that thoroughly manages the airflow path inside the air conditioner?from the ultra-fine filter where air enters to the fan where air exits?keeping it clean. The comfortable energy-saving mode realized through dual inverter technology maintains cool cooling while saving energy.
LG Electronics is also releasing Objet Collection products in Calming Beige, in addition to the matte white Wedding Snow and Romantic Rose colors. The price of the 17 types of LG Whisen Tower ranges from 4 million to 6.2 million KRW based on the shipment price.
Space interior design that harmonizes with any living room
The LG Whisen Tower introduces a new air conditioner design for the first time in six years. The new product adds the sensibility of the space interior appliance 'LG Objet Collection' to the design philosophy of the ultra-premium 'LG Signature' air conditioner, which expresses minimal beauty through straight lines and circles.
The design of the Whisen Tower is completed with circles symbolizing softly blowing air and simple straight lines so that it harmonizes with any living room interior and blends into the space. The circular mood lighting, inspired by the sunrise and sunset of Ia Village in Santorini, Greece?one of the world's top three sunset spots?adds three types of indirect lighting with different color temperatures: cool white, warm white, and natural, creating indoor atmospheres according to the situation.
Powerful cooling that minimizes direct airflow to people
The LG Whisen Tower provides stronger cooling than previous models while minimizing airflow directly hitting people. It also delivers pleasant cooling that maintains the cooled indoor temperature for a long time. The new product's '4X Concentrated Cooling' increases the number of fans from two to four, enabling fast and powerful cooling.
The Whisen Tower features four left-right air guards that freely adjust the airflow direction, sending cold air toward the walls to minimize direct airflow to people with 'Wide Care Cooling,' keeping the entire home cool. The new product's 'Space Separation Cooling' allows dividing indoor space with a single air conditioner, enabling cooling tailored to each space as if using two air conditioners.
5-step clean management that keeps the 'airflow path' clean
As air conditioners have become essential appliances for all four seasons and hygiene concepts have strengthened, the importance of air conditioner management has also increased. The LG Whisen Tower applies a 5-step clean management function that thoroughly manages the airflow path inside the air conditioner?from the ultra-fine filter where air enters to the fan where air exits.
The filter clean bot on the back of the product automatically cleans the ultra-fine filter, which air passes through first, once a week, and users only need to empty the dust container once every six months. The newly added antibacterial ultra-fine filter removes bacteria that may form on the filter.
The Whisen Tower's air purification performance has also been enhanced. It has obtained the CAC certification, the standard for air purifiers for air conditioners from the Korea Air Cleaning Association, and the air purification area has expanded to 30 pyeong (approximately 99 square meters). The automatic drying function that dries moisture inside the air conditioner can be set in 10, 30, or 60-minute intervals.
The new product's 'UV Nano' function sterilizes the fan that blows air using UV LED, removing 99.99% of harmful bacteria. 'UV Nano' is a term combining UV LED and nanometer, the wavelength unit of ultraviolet rays. According to tests by the internationally accredited testing institute Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR) and supervised tests by Germany's TUV Rheinland, this product removes 99.99% of harmful bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus epidermidis that can adhere to the fan.
Comfortable energy saving with dual inverter technology
The LG Whisen Tower is equipped with a comfortable energy-saving mode that saves energy while maintaining coolness through differentiated dual inverter technology. Under the supervision of TUV Rheinland, a comparative test was conducted by operating the new product for four hours and measuring cumulative power consumption. The comfortable energy-saving mode reduces power consumption by about 72% compared to the maximum cooling mode, Ice Cool Power, while keeping the indoor temperature cool.
Also, with the new product, there is no need to worry about whether to leave the air conditioner on or off when stepping out briefly. If no one is detected for one hour, the human body detection sensor determines the absence and automatically enters energy-saving mode. This mode reduces power consumption by about 30% compared to turning off the air conditioner when going out and turning it back on later.
LG Electronics applies proactive services that optimally manage home appliances to Whisen air conditioners. The air conditioner analyzes the operating status of the product and detects in advance whether ventilation is needed due to temperature rise at the outdoor unit installation site or if the air purification filter needs replacement, notifying users through the LG ThinQ app on their smartphones.
