[Breaking] Fauci: "Mild Side Effects Like 'Fatigue and Pain' After 2nd COVID Vaccine Dose"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] Anthony Fauci, director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, revealed that he also experienced mild side effects from the COVID-19 vaccination.

On the 21st (local time), according to major foreign media, Fauci, the top authority on the U.S. COVID-19 response, said during a White House briefing that he felt fatigue and pain after receiving the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

He emphasized, "It wasn't painful," adding, "(The fatigue and pain) lasted about 24 hours and now I am fine."

He explained that the mild side effects are consistent with what vaccine companies reported in clinical trials and indicate that the body showed an immune response to the vaccination.
