3 More Infected Including Yeongam Gwaneumsa Bowl Case in Gwangju... Total 1,442 Cases

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Three additional COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Gwangju Metropolitan City.

According to Gwangju City on the 17th, as of 6 p.m. that day, three people were confirmed positive and classified as Gwangju cases 1440 to 1442.

Gwangju case 1440 is a resident of Yeonggwang and is related to Jeonnam case 654. Including Gwangju case 1436, there are two confirmed cases in Gwangju linked to Jeonnam case 654 as the infection route.

Gwangju case 1441 is related to Jeonnam case 658, who is connected to the Yeongam Gwaneumsa cluster where continuous chain infections have been occurring.

The infection route of Gwangju case 1442 is under investigation.

The total number of new confirmed cases reported so far today is nine.

The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gwangju area has increased to 1,442.
