Attack on Saudi Oil Facilities... Government "Expresses Serious Concern, Condemns Acts Threatening Lives and Infrastructure"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed concern regarding the attack on Saudi Arabia's oil facilities and condemned the threat to civilian lives and energy supply infrastructure.


On the 26th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a spokesperson's comment, "Our government expresses serious concern over the attack carried out on the Saudi Aramco oil facilities on the 23rd," adding, "We condemn any acts that endanger civilian lives and the global energy supply chain infrastructure."


On the 24th (local time), the Saudi Ministry of Energy reported that the Aramco petroleum product distribution facility in Jeddah, a western port city of Saudi Arabia, was hit, causing a fire in the fuel tanks. Saudi state-owned oil company Aramco also reported that it was attacked by the Yemeni Houthi rebels.
