Kim Chang-mo Elected as 5th President of Jeonnam Disabled Taekwondo Association


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Kim Chang-mo, Secretary General of the World University Taekwondo Federation, was elected as the 5th president of the Jeonnam Disabled Taekwondo Association.


Kim Chang-mo, president of the Jeonnam Disabled Taekwondo Association, is a taekwondo practitioner who holds a Ph.D. in Physical Education and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. He has also served as the head coach of the Korean national team at the 4th Asian University Taekwondo Championships, combining both academic and athletic excellence.


Kim, whose hometown is Namyang-myeon, Goheung-gun, Jeonnam, pledged to "contribute to the revitalization of disabled taekwondo athletes" and proposed the "establishment of a disabled taekwondo professional team" as a campaign promise.


The election for the president of the Jeonnam Disabled Taekwondo Association was held in Suncheon City, Jeonnam, in compliance with COVID-19 quarantine rules, and Kim was elected uncontested due to the withdrawal of other candidates.
