[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The '2020 Gyeongbuk-type Industry-Academia-Government Online Job Fair,' hosted by Gyeongbuk Province, Gimcheon City, and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, was held on the 5th at the Gimcheon City National Sports Center.

The event, which began with TBC announcer Kim Myung-mi as the host, started with interviews of Mayor Kim Choong-seop of Gimcheon and Chairman Lee Woo-cheong of the Gimcheon City Council, followed by online interviews. About 300 job seekers who attended had pre-registered through the website from the 20th to the 30th of last month.

The event was also broadcast live through the Gimcheon City Online Job Fair website and YouTube channel to deliver the progress to citizens who could not attend in person.

In addition to online interviews, various side events such as recruitment briefings and corporate promotional videos from public institutions relocated to Gyeongbuk Innovation City, including Korea Electric Power Technology, Korea Expressway Corporation, Korea Transportation Safety Authority, and Korea Legal Aid Corporation, as well as employment special lectures, were held.

At the Gimcheon City National Sports Center, only HR personnel from public institutions and companies attended and conducted online recruitment briefings and video interviews at designated booths. Participants took interviews via video connected to the National Sports Center from their homes or from spaces separately prepared at the Gimcheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mayor Kim Choong-seop emphasized, "Through this online job fair, we will continuously promote non-face-to-face recruitment events in the post-COVID-19 era and do our best to revive the local economy, which has been stagnated due to COVID-19, and restore vitality."
