[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Amid the recent surge in illegal camera incidents in restrooms, such as the discovery of an illegal camera in the women's restroom inside the KBS research building and a current high school teacher installing a hidden camera in a school restroom, a service that shares the results of illegal camera detection in public restrooms is gaining attention.
On the 1st, the illegal camera detection sharing mobile service Lilyeui Jido announced the addition of a 'public restroom illegal camera detection result sharing feature.' Additionally, it provides information on the operating hours of the public restroom, the number of squat toilets and urinals, and whether the restroom is unisex.
Lilyeui Jido is the world's first platform for sharing illegal camera detection results, officially launched last May. After switching the service to fully free in July, it offers illegal miniature camera detection features by combining a social network service that shares detection results with deep learning AI-based vision technology and augmented reality (AR) technology.
A representative from Espresto, the developer of Lily's Map, explained that by sharing the results of illegal camera detection in public restrooms, they hope to help many people use restrooms with peace of mind and contribute to the prevention of digital sex crimes.

Son Donghyun, CEO of Espresto, said, “Recently, many places including public institutions and general companies have been inspecting illegal cameras in public restrooms, but if more people directly inspect and share their findings from various restrooms, it will greatly help solve the illegal camera problem,” adding, “Through Lilyeui Jido’s easy and convenient detection result registration and sharing, the more detection results there are, the more illegal cameras can be eradicated, so we expect the power of collective intelligence.”
