[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The special installation art exhibition "Busan Arirang," commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Korean War, opened on September 29 at the Busan Museum and will run until December 27.

This event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and Busan City to help deepen understanding of the Korean War and provide an opportunity to reflect on war and peace.

The exhibition features the installation artwork "Busan Arirang" by renowned installation artist Kang Ik-jung, which involved the participation of 12,000 children from 22 countries that took part in the Korean War.

The main piece, relocated from Gwanghwamun in Seoul, is a cube measuring 8 meters in width, length, and height. On the center of one side is a large painting of a moon jar, whose surface is filled with children's drawings.

Surrounding the artwork are the lyrics of the traditional folk song "Arirang," handwritten by artist Kang Ik-jung himself, and between the letters are inscribed the names of 175,801 domestic and international war casualties.
