Yeosu Police Share Loving Hands for Chuseok

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu Police Station (Chief Moon Byung-hoon) and the Security Advisory Council (Chairman Joo Pan-jung) held an event on the 23rd in the Yeosu Police Station small conference room to welcome the Chuseok holiday. Attended by the police chief, the chairman of the Security Advisory Council, and 10 North Korean defectors, the event invited North Korean defectors who miss their families and hometowns, presenting gift certificates worth 5 million won and sharing warm words to celebrate the upcoming holiday.

This event was organized to comfort the longing of North Korean defectors for their hometowns and to encourage them as they strive to settle in our society despite difficult circumstances.

Moon Byung-hoon, Chief of Yeosu Police Station, stated, “To ensure the stable settlement of North Korean defectors, we will look into their difficulties and work to establish practical support methods in cooperation with the Security Advisory Council and related organizations such as Yeosu City Hall and the Hana Center.”
