Hoban Group including Hoban Construction Donates Neighborly Love Fund for Chuseok

Hoban Group, including Hoban Construction, carried out social contribution activities ahead of Chuseok.

On the 23rd, Hoban Group delivered 1,000 gift certificates worth 10,000 won each for Dangjin Love Gift Certificates to support vulnerable groups and revitalize the local economy through the employee volunteer group ‘Hoban Sarang Nanum-i’ at the reception room of Dangjin City Hall. The delivery ceremony was attended by Kim Hong-jang, Mayor of Dangjin, Wang Hyun-jung, Chairperson of the Dangjin Welfare Foundation, and Son Dal-won, Executive Director of Hoban Construction, among others.

Hoban Sarang Nanum-i is an employee volunteer group of Hoban Group, including Hoban Construction, that has been conducting monthly visiting volunteer activities since 2009. They have been engaged in various volunteer activities for neighbors in need and the local community, such as sharing briquettes and making kimchi for low-income families, and cleaning activities in Seoul Forest. Additionally, they support local volunteer organizations through donations from employees and company sponsorships.

A Hoban Group social contribution official stated, “We hope to bring small joy and help to citizens who are struggling due to the spread of COVID-19.”

Meanwhile, Hoban Construction pursues a social contribution vision of being a ‘reliable partner building happiness’ and carries out social contribution activities in various fields such as scholarship projects, cultural and artistic development, and local community development projects.

Especially this year, despite national disasters such as heavy rains and COVID-19, they have set an example by providing various supports. Last month, Hoban Group, including Hoban Construction, donated 200 million won to the Korean Red Cross to aid recovery and support residents in areas damaged by the heavy rains. In the same month, they also directly delivered 300 electric pressure cookers to Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, which suffered significant damage from the heavy rains.

In addition, Hoban Group, including Hoban Construction, has been continuously conducting various COVID-19 support activities such as the construction industry’s first 2 billion won scale ‘Emergency Management Stabilization Fund,’ a 300 million won donation to the Korean Red Cross, and a rent reduction campaign.
