‘So-hwak-haeng’ Emotional Policy Brings Happiness to County Residents
[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Song Guigeun, the governor of Goheung County, announced on the 24th that among the 218 new policies discussed in next year's major business report, the ‘21 Key Policies for Adding Happiness to Residents’ were selected.
The ‘Adding Happiness to Residents’ policies refer to emotional policies that can provide residents with ‘small but certain happiness’ with a small budget.
The carefully selected 21 key policies were finalized after thorough consideration through three rounds of major business report discussions chaired by Governor Song and the county administration coordination committee chaired by the vice governor.
Next year, the ‘Adding Happiness to Residents’ policies will be promoted with the aim of bringing some happiness to residents through the implementation of 21 emotional policies.
By sector, the welfare field includes nine policies such as △emotional therapy for the elderly with companion plants △operation of the ‘Youth Theater’ romantic senior centers △distribution of the ‘Smart Safety Touch’ personal safety device △integrated health dream for remote islands.
The culture and tourism field introduced four policies including △Let’s all go! Goheung Masil Tour △Take a photo in Goheung, receive a gift △Haechangman Drive Road with the scent of flowers flowing △Green garden culture road drawn by residents.
Additionally, the agriculture field prepared two policies such as △operation of research farms for village-specific specialty crops △distribution of customized equipment for female farmers.
The population field includes two policies such as △comfort with jobs, nurturing hope and realizing dreams △support for high school graduates’ ‘social advancement growth ladder,’ and three policies were selected in the residential environment field including △creation of a healing and cultural county office plaza △installation of resting chairs on neighborhood walking paths.
Governor Song said, “Considering Goheung County’s poor financial conditions and current trends, next year we decided to promote ‘Adding Happiness’ policies that can provide small but certain happiness along with large-scale regional development projects,” adding, “I hope that residents exhausted by COVID-19 will smile brightly and have many happy days through the ‘Adding Happiness’ policies.”
Meanwhile, Goheung County has been implementing various policies closely related to residents’ lives since last year with the single ‘Adding Happiness’ policy, such as repairing defective manholes on roads, installing safety lights for women and children’s safe return at night, and creating small parking lots on idle land, receiving favorable evaluations from residents.
