Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 23rd that a woman in her 50s, Ms. A, residing in Munheung-dong, Buk-gu, tested positive for COVID-19, increasing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 488.

Ms. A was related to Seongnim Baptist Church in Buk-gu and tested positive in a pre-release test during self-quarantine. She is currently receiving isolated treatment at Bitgoeul Jeonnam National University Hospital.

Currently, 37 patients are undergoing treatment in Gwangju, and 314 people are awaiting test results.
