Nokia Ranks No.1 in Global Telecom Software Market Share

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Nokia has secured the number one position in the global telecommunications software market share.

According to market research firm Analysis Mason on the 21st, Nokia's share in the global telecommunications software and services market last year was approximately $4.5 billion (about 5.26 trillion KRW). The total market size grew about 1% compared to the previous year, reaching $66.9 billion (about 78.3 trillion KRW).

Nokia's software portfolio is designed for CSF (Common Software Foundation) purposes based on cloud-native, multi-network, and multi-vendor environments, optimized for public cloud platforms, providing telecommunications operators with extensive operational flexibility.

Nokia ranked first in software products in Analysis Mason's 2017 Global Software Report and secured the number one market share in the telecommunications software and services sector in 2018.

Larry Goldman, Lead Researcher for Networks and Software at Analysis Mason, explained, "Nokia has once again secured the number one market share in telecommunications software in 2019. This is partly due to Nokia's leadership in high-growth areas such as network virtualization, and because Nokia continues to lead the market in nearly all telecommunications software sectors."

Vaska Goti, President of Nokia Software and Chief Digital Officer (CDO), added, "Understanding customer needs is at the core of how Nokia designs software and services. This is precisely the driving force behind Nokia CSF, which has fostered truly cloud-native applications."
