Jindo Education Support Office Holds 'Sending Students to Local Schools' Council Meeting

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jindo Office of Education announced on the 17th that on the 16th, it held the '2020 Work Officer Council for Promoting Sending Students to Local Schools' in the conference room of the Office of Education, attended by admission officers from 11 middle and high schools in the district.

This council discussed building consensus and cooperation measures to actively promote preventing the outflow of local talent and 'sending students to local schools.'

The attendees introduced their schools' educational activities and admission-related information to middle school and high school admission officers, and agreed to conduct student-tailored admission promotion and counseling through 'admission briefings visiting individual schools' in accordance with the COVID-19 situation.

The Jindo Office of Education plans to produce and distribute promotional materials related to admissions for four high schools in the district, providing third-year middle school students and their parents with resources to understand the distinctive educational activities and admission information.

A teacher who attended the council said, "As I took on the role of homeroom teacher for third-year middle school students for the first time this year, I needed various information for admission guidance, and being able to compare admission-related information from local high schools was very helpful for guiding students' advancement."

Superintendent Lee Moon-po said, "We will continuously promote the development of local talent and sending students to local schools, and seek continuous cooperation measures with local governments for this purpose."
