Chosun University LINC+ Project Group and Local Youth Cultural Organizations Join Hands to Revitalize Chungjang-ro

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University and representative youth cultural organizations in the Gwangju area have joined hands to restore the heyday of Chungjang-ro in Dong-gu.


On the 16th, the Chosun University LINC+ Project Group announced that it had signed a business agreement with the Gwangju Jeonnam Creator Cooperative for media education and the development of various creative contents.


The business agreement ceremony held at the Chungjang-ro Industry-Academia Cooperation Hub Center was attended by Kim Chunsung, head of the Chosun University LINC+ Project Group, and Lee Sangmyeong, chairman of the Gwangju Jeonnam Creator Cooperative, among others.


Through this agreement, programs will be conducted to train one-person media education, smartphone film production, and creative professionals, and video content capturing the history of Chungjang-ro will be produced and shared via SNS.


To this end, the Gwangju Jeonnam Creator Cooperative will operate beginner and basic YouTube creator classes for Chungjang merchants, small business owners, and Chosun University students.


Additionally, the Chungjang-ro Industry-Academia Cooperation Hub Center plans to invite creators with more than 50,000 to 100,000 subscribers (viewers) to hold talk shows live once or twice a month, and also plans to open programs related to e-sports.


Earlier, on the 11th, the Chosun University LINC+ Project Group opened the Chungjang-ro Industry-Academia Cooperation Hub Center and signed a business agreement with six representative local youth organizations to revitalize youth culture and Chungjang-ro.


The six representative youth organizations participating in the agreement are leaders of content platforms leading youth culture, including Storybox CEO Kang Suhun, Develop Stories CEO Yang Jihyun, Developer Noah CEO Kim Seongchan, Creator Lab CEO Song Hoin, Skycode CEO Seo Jiwon, Bobo Beauty & Bobo Academy CEO Jang Yohan, and 603 Studio CEO Kim Seongon.


Based on this business agreement, the Chosun University LINC+ Project Group plans to carry out matching collaboration projects with departments in the humanities, social sciences, and arts fields at Chosun University, and in October, will open the ‘Gwangju Youth School’ to provide out-of-school classrooms for teenagers and youth.


Kim Chunsung, head of the Chosun University LINC+ Project Group, said, “I am pleased that the Chungjang-ro Industry-Academia Cooperation Hub Center is being used as a space for developing students’ capabilities and revitalizing the Chungjang Merchants Association,” adding, “We will do our best to make the hub center a creative, imaginative playground that will open the Renaissance era of Chungjang-ro.”


He added, “The owners of the Chungjang-ro Industry-Academia Cooperation Center are the youth of Gwangju, and the doors are always open.”
