[Culture & Life Section Reporter Choi Jeonghwa] Recently, as 'clean beauty' has rapidly emerged as a new icon in the industry, conscious cosmetic brands that consider not only good ingredients but also environmentally friendly packaging are attracting attention. We take a look at the recent moves of the body care brand 'Allong' and the skincare brand 'ILLIF,' both of which aim for a good lifestyle that cares for both oneself and the planet.
Mumucosmetics' Allong Conducts Contactless Scent Sampling Event
Clean beauty body care brand allongs (Allong) has launched scent marketing tailored to the untact trend to target consumers.
From the 8th to the 30th of last month, Allong held an event on its official mall where all customers who purchased products received an untact kit consisting of four types of inner perfume scent strips and a sugar scrub sample. The inner perfume is a vegan-certified Y-zone fragrance product with a lasting effect of up to 48 hours. The sugar scrub is effective for exfoliating skin during seasonal changes, and its long-lasting scent provides a body mist effect.
This event was planned with the idea that products, which consumers thought could only be purchased after trying and smelling them in person, could instead be 'received and tried first' rather than 'try before buying.' The inner perfume and sugar scrub included in the untact kit can be purchased at a 20% discount during the entire month of September if customers wish to buy the full-size products.
A representative from Mumucosmetics said, "We launched this event to discover hidden customer needs in the changing trends of the untact era for products that are difficult to purchase based on images alone," adding, "We will continue to grow as a clean beauty body care brand by quickly adapting to changes and maintaining ongoing communication with consumers, supported by the growth of online platforms."
Meanwhile, Mumucosmetics' Allong offers Y-zone care products for women's health, waxing products, and body care products that pursue clean beauty, all of which have received the EWG GREEN rating, making them safe for sensitive skin.
Vegan Brand ILLIF Launches 'Soft Glow' Collection
Skincare brand ILLIF is also joining the clean beauty trend by launching the 'Soft Glow' collection. 'Soft Glow' is a clean beauty line that opposes animal testing ('cruelty-free') and excludes animal-derived ingredients, harmful substances, artificial colorants, and artificial fragrances.
The 'Soft Glow Ampoule' is a low-irritation functional product that completely excludes the three major skin irritants (chemical preservatives, artificial colorants, and artificial fragrances) and has passed a 'low irritation' test at the Human Skin Clinical Center. It is a low-irritation cosmetic made with natural ingredients and fermentation methods, suitable for people with sensitive skin.
The familiar ingredient rice and ILLIF's unique fermentation method, Rice SequenceTM Technology, combine to create the distinctive 'Soft Glow Ampoule.' The ILLIF Rice MiracleTM formula, produced through double fermentation to enhance the absorption of rice's active ingredients such as proteins, amino acids, and vitamins, along with niacinamide, helps purify the skin and restore disrupted skin balance, providing a natural glow and smooth texture.
Additionally, the 'Soft Glow Ampoule' contains centella asiatica extract and green tea extract, which are effective for soothing the skin; hyaluronic acid for hydration; camellia flower extract with excellent antioxidant properties; adenosine and acetyl hexapeptide-8, which help improve skin elasticity. These ingredients calm irritated skin and also show wrinkle improvement effects.
Meanwhile, ILLIF originates from the meaning of 'standing on one's own' (이립, 而立) and is more than just a skincare brand. It is a 'lifestyle brand' that supports women who continuously strive to navigate changes throughout their lives, including career, dating, marriage, and further into pregnancy and parenting.
