[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Wemakeprice announced on the 18th that it will newly implement the ‘Filling Empty Shelves’ project to further enhance its consistently strengthened price competitiveness. In particular, it plans to expand the product DB (assortment, number of products sold) to increase product diversity.
Wemakeprice first established a ‘New Sales Part’ within each category team in the sales headquarters. The employees of this organization are exclusively responsible for securing new sellers.
It will also strengthen MD expertise. The current system, where one MD manages partner companies and sources new partners simultaneously, will be operated as two separate tracks. The MD in charge of sourcing new partners will focus on securing products lacking in each category, while the MD communicating with existing Wemakeprice partners will concentrate on offering good quality products at better prices.
A Wemakeprice official said, “Not only existing competitors but also large platforms like Naver are accelerating their e-commerce businesses, intensifying competition in product DB,” adding, “This project is being carried out to provide various products at reasonable prices.”
This aligns with Wemakeprice’s ‘Good Price + Good Product’ strategy. The ‘New Partner Support Program’ (0% sales commission including VAT 4%, weekly settlement, server fee exemption of 99,000 KRW per month), which has been ongoing since October last year, served as a catalyst for over 35,000 new partners to join Wemakeprice.
Earlier this month, it introduced a fresh food ‘Quality Guarantee’ program and a policy that offers a 100% refund (with zero delivery fee) regardless of reason if customers are not satisfied with the food guaranteed by Wemakeprice.
Moon Gwansuk, Head of Sales Headquarters at Wemakeprice, said, “Wemakeprice has a significant advantage in terms of price, and the repurchase rate of customers who have experienced this is overwhelming,” adding, “Combining Wemakeprice’s good prices with good products will surely achieve great results.”
