Hyundai Corporation Group Partners with Small Giants to Expand 'K-Quarantine' Overseas

[Asia Economy Reporter Su-yeon Woo] Hyundai Corporation Group is leveraging Hyundai Corporation's global network to support the overseas expansion of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises' 'K-Quarantine' products.

Hyundai C Square, an affiliate of Hyundai Corporation Group, announced on the 3rd that it has signed a comprehensive business partnership agreement (MOU) to jointly enter overseas markets with domestic SMEs such as AMS Bio of BioSmart Group and Hayan Son Industry.

AMS Bio is a manufacturer of 'K-Quarantine' related products using DNA chips and gene analysis, including COVID-19 diagnostic kits, while Hayan Son Industry is the sole domestic producer of nitrile gloves and a leading representative of 'K-Quarantine.' Through this agreement, Hyundai Corporation Group will support overseas buyer discovery, overseas marketing, and overseas corporation operations by packaging K-Quarantine products.

AMS Bio's COVID-19 diagnostic kit uses real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology to quickly detect COVID-19 infection within one hour. It received export and usage approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in July and is preparing for full-scale overseas expansion.

Additionally, Hayan Son Industry, the only domestic nitrile glove manufacturer, sells gloves made from nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) under its own brand, Rubber Lab. Nitrile gloves offer better comfort and chemical resistance than latex gloves and do not cause allergic reactions, making them increasingly used in medical, industrial, and culinary fields.

Earlier, in June, Hyundai C Square signed a business agreement with Wellkips, the number one company in the domestic mask market, to promote overseas expansion of 'K-Quarantine' products such as health masks, hand sanitizers, and protective suits. This additional MOU is expected to create synergy in the overseas expansion of 'K-Quarantine' products, whose demand is rapidly increasing.
