No Multi-Level Marketing Operations at Gwangju's 'Geumyang Officetel' Where 12 COVID-19 Cases Were Confirmed

According to the Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency on the 2nd, after verifying the facts regarding the illegal multi-level marketing suspicions, including coin investment business at Geumyang Officetel linked to Gwangju case number 37, it was found that there has been no recent sales activity.

Although there were rumors about multi-level marketing related to coin sales 5 to 6 years ago, no recent unregistered door-to-door sales activities have been confirmed.

Regarding other illegal activities such as gambling, detailed investigations are being conducted through nearby CCTV footage and interviews with visitors.

Additionally, concerning the health authorities' visit to the first-floor office of Geumyang Officetel and the request to verify personal information of 11 close contacts, the investigation results have been reported.
