This administrative order is a measure prepared to prevent the spread within the local community following the recent cluster infections of COVID-19 centered around the Coupang logistics centers.
Accordingly, residents of Jeonnam who visited logistics centers in the Seoul metropolitan area must visit screening clinics in Jeonnam and undergo diagnostic testing by the 5th of next month.
The relevant public health centers plan to monitor visitors to the logistics centers for up to 14 days.
If this is violated causing damage or harm to COVID-19 prevention efforts, the province will file charges under the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act according to a zero-tolerance policy, and in addition to administrative measures, will also claim compensation for damages and medical expenses.
