[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Representative Yoon Young-il (Haenam·Wando·Jindo) announced on the 29th that he personally visited the residents of Haenam, Wando, and Jindo to express his gratitude as he concluded his term as a member of the 20th National Assembly.

From the 25th to the 28th, Representative Yoon visited the county office, township offices, and senior citizens' associations in person for three days, explaining the results of his legislative activities over the past four years to the residents and actively cooperating on areas requiring action, demonstrating his dedication as a National Assembly member until the last day of his term.

Since entering the National Assembly in 2016, Representative Yoon has been credited with significantly contributing to the impeachment of former President Park Geun-hye by uncovering the Park Geun-hye and Choi Soon-sil state affairs manipulation scandal, and has been recognized for leading efforts in clearing deep-rooted evils and judicial reform.

Additionally, he sponsored and passed key legislation such as the Special Measures Act for the Transfer Registration of Real Estate Ownership, which was a long-standing wish of farmers and fishermen, and the Coastal Passenger Public Transportation Act. He also contributed to the passage of fast-track bills including the Sewol Ferry Disaster Compensation Act, the transition of firefighters to national status and improvement of their treatment, and the Corruption Investigation Office Act.

Representative Yoon Young-il said, “I am grateful for the great expectations and support from the residents,” adding, “The time spent over the past four years facing the county residents and working together for regional development and the happiness of the residents is precious.”

He continued, “There are still many tasks to be done, such as stabilizing agricultural and fishery prices, groundbreaking SOC projects, and promoting road and land connection projects,” and stated, “As an ordinary resident, I will contribute my efforts to regional development.”
