[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] In the episode of the tvN drama "Hwayangyeonhwa - The Moment Life Becomes a Flower" aired on the afternoon of the 2nd, Yoo Ji-tae and Lee Bo-young confronted each other at a supermarket protest scene.
Holding the hand of Yoon Ji-soo (Lee Bo-young), who was kneeling, and calling her name, Han Jae-hyun (Yoo Ji-tae) is asked by Jang Seo-kyung (Park Si-yeon) what is going on. Han Jae-hyun threatens that if the school violence committee is not canceled, the lover Jang Seo-kyung is seeing will be prevented from working as a model. When Jang Seo-kyung says, "Are you trying to ruin a promising young person's life over something so trivial?" Han Jae-hyun replies, "I want to return those words exactly to you."
Han Jae-hyun also tells the principal that he will not hold the school violence committee meeting, and if reversed, he will transfer Jun-seo (Park Min-soo). He offers to drop Yoon Ji-soo off on the way, but Yoon Ji-soo declines. As Han Jae-hyun opens the car door to give her a ride, Yoon Ji-soo walks away bravely, but her high heel breaks.
Eventually, Yoon Ji-soo gets into Han Jae-hyun's car. She tries to get off at a nearby station, but Han Jae-hyun says, "There’s no place to buy shoes here," and offers to drop her off at Seoul Station. When Yoon Ji-soo asks if Jang Seo-kyung is okay, Han Jae-hyun replies, "Are you okay? You bowed your head twice, and today you even knelt." To that, Yoon Ji-soo answers, "I can do that a hundred or ten thousand times if it means the child won’t cry. To me, that is love. To keep them from crying."
Jang Seo-kyung asks Han Jae-hyun again about his relationship with Yoon Ji-soo when he returns home, and Han Jae-hyun answers simply. Then he says, "How about shaping Jun-seo first? It seems like he’s doing the same things he did in elementary school." When Jang Seo-kyung asks, "Are you saying Young-min (Go Woo-rim) did that because of Jun-seo?" Han Jae-hyun says, "It’s highly likely."
Jang Seo-kyung probes Han Jae-hyun, asking, "Why don’t you ask about the model-related matter? Aren’t you concerned?" Han Jae-hyun replies, "It’s certainly not something to applaud, but I think I’m partly to blame. I was in prison for four years, and before that, I was busy with work."
Meeting a friend at a hotel, Han Jae-hyun approaches after hearing piano music in the lobby and realizes the pianist is Yoon Ji-soo.
Meeting Yoon Ji-soo at a cafe, Han Jae-hyun says, "I am currently the vice president of the supermarket. And I know you were working as a non-regular employee and got fired." He continues, "There’s no need to explain your circumstances, but I hope you don’t participate in the protests in front of the headquarters. The company will soon take legal action, so I hope you won’t be harmed." However, Yoon Ji-soo insists, saying, "The losing side is our side," and expresses her intention to continue.
Han Jae-hyun tries to talk with the protesters, but Jang Seo-kyung, realizing Yoon Ji-soo is among them, orders police to forcibly disperse the protest. At the protest site, Han Jae-hyun and Yoon Ji-soo encounter each other, and Yoon Ji-soo enters the crowd and struggles physically with the police.
The tvN drama "Hwayangyeonhwa - The Moment Life Becomes a Flower" airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM.
