Kamco Celebrates 58th Anniversary with Lunchbox Sharing Activity for Busan Medical Staff

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) celebrated its 58th anniversary on the 6th by replacing the traditional anniversary event with sharing activities, delivering seaweed soup lunchboxes to medical staff struggling due to the spread of COVID-19, and donating hand sanitizers to libraries and welfare centers.

KAMCO delivered 580 sets of "birthday seaweed soup lunchboxes" to the medical staff at Busan Medical Center as a token of gratitude and support. Additionally, 580 hand sanitizers were donated to multi-use facilities such as libraries and welfare centers located in Nam-gu, Busan, to ensure the safety of local residents.

President Moon Sung-yoo stated, "To mark KAMCO's 58th anniversary, as a financial public enterprise working alongside Busan, we initiated the seaweed soup lunchbox sharing activity to offer even a small help to the local community. We will continue to make various efforts to stabilize the community."

Meanwhile, in his anniversary speech video, President Moon said, "Since its establishment in 1962, KAMCO has faithfully played the role of a safety net for the national economy at the forefront of crisis response during every national economic crisis, steadily evolving as a public asset management specialized institution that enhances the social and economic value of households, businesses, and the public sector. Let us effectively respond to the current crisis caused by COVID-19 according to the pre-established protocols and implement policy projects that the public urgently needs as quickly as possible."
