Without Pressing a Button, All the Way to the Entrance... 'Smart System' Introduced in Long-Term Rental Housing

Without Pressing a Button, All the Way to the Entrance... 'Smart System' Introduced in Long-Term Rental Housing Comparison Before and After Applying the Smart One-Pass System (Photo by LH)

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Mewon] Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) recently announced on the 5th that, considering the growing anxiety about multi-contact facilities due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), it plans to apply the 'Smart One-Pass System' to long-term rental housing (Permanent, National, Happy) starting next year.

Once this system is established, residents of rental housing will be able to remotely open the shared entrance door using a smartphone app. They can automatically call the elevator and select their residential floor, allowing access to their unit entrance without pressing any buttons.

LH plans to apply this technology starting with complexes completed next year.

Han Hak-gyu, Head of Public Housing Electrical Division at LH, said, "We expect that smart technology will enable a swift response to social issues such as COVID-19 and help improve the quality of life for residents. We will continue to prepare various support measures for residents and strive to actively realize social value."
