Accepting Choir Member Applications Until the 24th to Deliver Beautiful Harmonies... Participation in Various Competitions and Events, Volunteer Hours Also Recognized
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) is establishing the "Gangseo-gu Boys and Girls Choir" to provide local youth with opportunities to develop their cultural and artistic abilities through music.
The district announced that it is looking for talented youth who can deliver beautiful harmonies in order to recruit gifted members and help the choir grow into the representative choir of UNICEF Child-Friendly City Gangseo.
The recruitment is for 35 youths aged 9 to 15 residing in Gangseo-gu, and the appointment period lasts until the member turns 15 from the date of appointment.
Youths who wish to become members can apply by visiting the Gangseo-gu Office Education and Youth Division in person by the 24th, or by mail (5th floor, Welfare Support Center, Gangseo-gu Office, 302 Hwagok-ro, Gangseo-gu) or email (gaeng43@gangseo.seoul.kr).

An interview to assess vocalization, musicality, attitude, and diligence will be held on the 28th, and the final results will be announced on April 3.
Once selected as choir members, they will practice twice a month for two hours each on the second and fourth Saturdays at the Gangseo Youth Center, participate in various competitions and events, and showcase the skills they have honed.
Additionally, choir members can receive volunteer hours for performances.
A district official said, "The Gangseo-gu Boys and Girls Choir will be a great and unforgettable opportunity for children with musical talent," and added, "We hope many youths with dreams and passion will participate."
