[Asia Economy Reporter Geum Bo-ryeong] Director Bong Joon-ho's film 'Parasite' won four awards, including Best Picture, at the Academy Awards on the 9th (local time), causing related stocks to surge for two consecutive days.

The production company Barunson E&A was trading at 2,590 KRW as of 9:37 AM on the 11th, up 8.6% (205 KRW) from the previous day.

Barunson, an affiliate where Barunson E&A is the largest shareholder, recorded a 19.96% (525 KRW) increase to 3,155 KRW.

CJ ENM, responsible for investment and distribution, rose 2.43% (3,600 KRW) to 151,900 KRW.

At the 92nd Academy Awards, Parasite won four awards including Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best International Feature Film, and Best Director.
