Patra, Mika Chair Wins IF Design Award Main Prize

The interior chair Mika (MIKA) from PATRA, a global brand specializing in chairs, announced that it has won the main prize in the product category at the iF Design Award 2020 (International Forum Design Award 2020).

Recognized as one of the world's top three design awards, the iF Design Award annually evaluates originality, practicality, safety, and other factors comprehensively to select the best design outcomes in fields such as products, packaging, architecture, and interiors.

Mika, which received the main prize, is a design chair created in collaboration with Germany's ito design. It is a multipurpose chair that allows high-density stacking and features a harmonious match between the curved backrest and seat cushion. The appropriate tension of the backrest and seat shell distributes body weight, and the ergonomically designed S-line curved backrest provides comfortable seating even for prolonged periods. It is made from eco-friendly materials and is a high-quality product certified with the BIS mark, an international quality standard.

Additionally, Mika won the silver award in the stacking chair category at NeoCon, North America's largest furniture exhibition, upon its launch. It was also selected as an excellent industrial design product in the furniture design category of the 2019 Good Design Award and included in the Best 100 of the Pinup Design Award, receiving positive responses both domestically and internationally.
