[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Singer Jeong Mi-jo, who appeared on MBC talk show 'Bae Cheol-soo Jam,' mentioned Bae Cheol-soo's early days as a newcomer.
On the first broadcast of MBC's 'Bae Cheol-soo Jam' on the 3rd, singer Jeong Mi-jo appeared as a guest.
During the broadcast, Jeong Mi-jo said, "Until now, I knew Bae Cheol-soo and Songgolmae separately," adding, "I mistakenly thought Bae Cheol-soo, who was a member of the band Songgolmae, was not part of Songgolmae." Bae Cheol-soo is the guitarist of the band Songgolmae.
Jeong Mi-jo explained the reason for not recognizing Bae Cheol-soo by saying, "When I went to Paris in 1979, Songgolmae was very popular. There were many seniors, but Songgolmae did not even greet anyone."
She mentioned that "Bae Cheol-soo came into the dressing room and quickly left, so I couldn't remember his face," referring to the junior Bae Cheol-soo not properly greeting her. In response, Bae Cheol-soo apologized, saying, "I am more shy than I appear. I am sorry."
Meanwhile, Jeong Mi-jo debuted in 1972 with 'Gaeyeoul' and suddenly went to study abroad in Paris, France. After working as an art professor for 22 years, she returned to the music industry in 2016 after 37 years.
