On the 28th, Fan Bingbing posted a video on her social network service (SNS) with the message, "Mother, stay strong. Win this fight. Come back safely."
The video showed a doctor mother leaving a video message to her son before entering the isolation ward to treat the novel coronavirus.
Meanwhile, since December last year, pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus has been spreading in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. The novel coronavirus mainly causes fever and respiratory symptoms, and investigations are ongoing regarding the exact source of infection, transmission routes, and incubation period.
The government raised the novel infectious disease crisis level from "caution" to "alert." As of the 30th, there are a total of six confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in the country, with the sixth patient being a contact of the third patient, marking the first case of "secondary infection."
The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stated that information about the fifth and sixth patients will be disclosed as soon as the epidemiological investigation is completed.
