District to Promote Safe Urban Environment by Early Ordering of Dimension and Sewage Projects

Gwangjin-gu Accelerates Flood Control and Sewage Projects Jayang 3-dong Aging Sewer Pipeline Maintenance Construction


[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seongap) is promoting the "Early Ordering of Flood Control and Sewage Projects" to prevent flood damage in advance by improving sewage pipelines in flood-prone areas.


This flood control and sewage project consists of a total of 19 cases, including sewage pipeline improvement and repair reinforcement, with a budget of approximately 17.3 billion KRW, covering a total project length of 11.3 km.


To this end, the district plans to conduct on-site surveys and prepare ordering documents in January, proceed with contract reviews in February, and place orders in March.


Additionally, the district plans to execute 60% of this year's budget in the first half of the year to revitalize the local economy and create jobs.


The main projects include ▲ sewage pipeline improvement works on Achasan-ro and Yeonghwasa-ro ▲ sewage culvert repair and reinforcement works on Guui Riverside Road and Gwangnaru-ro ▲ sewage pipeline repair and reinforcement works on Ttukseom-ro 56-gil ▲ sewage pipeline reinforcement works around Gangbyeon Station (East Seoul Terminal) ▲ maintenance and repair works of sewage facilities within the area ▲ repair and reinforcement works of Gwangjang 1 sluice gate and Junggok 1 and 2 sluice gates.


Kim Seongap, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "We will promptly place orders for projects closely related to residents' lives, such as flood control and sewage projects, and proceed without any setbacks," adding, "We will do our best to create a safe urban environment so that residents can live comfortably."
