Tmon, Gift Usage Transactions Increase by 181%

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] TMON (CEO Lee Jin-won) announced on the 28th that the number of people sending Lunar New Year gifts via mobile gifting has significantly increased in line with the demand for holiday gifts, with the usage frequency of the gifting service rising by 181% compared to a month ago.

When comparing the use of mobile gifting during the three weeks from January 1 to 21, just before the Lunar New Year holiday, with the same period of the previous month, the number of products sent through gifting increased by 181%. In particular, it gained popularity mainly among women in their 30s who are familiar with mobile shopping. Women in their 30s accounted for the highest proportion at 24%, followed by men in their 30s at 16%, and women in their 40s at 12%.

TMON's gifting service allows sending products that account for 60% of the delivery items, including TMON's special-priced products, with the variety reaching up to 2 million types. In the future, the product range will be further expanded to include e-tickets and other items, and features such as selecting multiple recipients or gift requesting will be added. Lee Jin-won, CEO of TMON, said, "As a result of expanding the gifting service to delivery products, more customers are using it for holiday gifts, broadening the user base. Not only can you purchase a wide variety of products at affordable prices, but since you don't need to enter an address, it can also be used as a surprise gift."
