[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] bhc Chicken announced on the 20th that it held the inauguration ceremony for the university student volunteer group, the ‘4th Sunflower Volunteer Group,’ and will begin full-scale activities starting this month.
The inauguration ceremony held the day before was attended by bhc Chicken CEO Im Geum-ok, along with 10 volunteer members who were finally selected through the screening process, and the 3rd volunteer group members who participated last year. They are organized into two teams of five members each and will plan and visit places in need of help to carry out volunteer activities until the end of this year.
A closing ceremony was also held for the 3rd volunteer group who were active last year. The 3rd volunteer members visited various places such as welfare centers, local children’s centers, jjokbangchon (small room villages), nursing homes, and farms near Seoul, conducting various volunteer activities for people with disabilities and socioeconomically vulnerable groups. bhc Chicken expressed its gratitude by presenting certificates of completion to all 3rd group members. Students Lee Hye-seon and Choi In-gwon were selected as the best volunteers. They received a scholarship, and all graduates were given the benefit of exemption from document screening when applying for a job at bhc.
