[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yang Hee-jung] BNK Busan Bank announced on the 20th that it signed a "Blockchain-based Port Import-Export Logistics Business Activation Memorandum of Understanding" with KLNet Co., Ltd., a specialized port import-export logistics service company, and the Korea Blockchain Association, a blockchain advisory group, at the Busan Bank headquarters on the 16th.

Busan Bank plans to develop specialized financial products and services such as credit provision and discounts for businesses related to port import-export in collaboration with these companies. KLNet Co., Ltd. will share the latest information and technology in the import-export logistics business sector and provide know-how on building blockchain-based logistics services and related business operations. The Korea Blockchain Association will play a role in verifying and advising on the business model.

Participating as a business operator in the Busan Blockchain Regulatory Free Zone, Busan Bank plans to conduct joint research with KLNet Co., Ltd. and the Korea Blockchain Association on applying blockchain technology to the logistics business, exchanging human resources, and discovering logistics innovation measures.
