If this is what "Gangnam Style" is all about, PSY may not have a problem with repeating it all over again.
PSY has added yet another achievement to the ever-growing record of "Gangnam Style" by reaching over 300 million views in just 76 days of its release on his official YouTube channel, the shortest period of time logged by any artists on the video streaming service website.
Adding the number of views from videos posted by other YouTube accounts, parody videos and live performance clips, the figure is likely to double or more.
It took pop sensation Justin Bieber about six months and Jennifer Lopez four months to pass the 300 million mark, each with the worldwide hits "Baby" and "On The Floor."
As of Friday evening, the K-pop missionary's labelmate Justin Bieber is holding strong onto the No. 1 spot with over 778.2 million views and Jennifer Lopez is at No. 2 with about 626.3 million.
With the new record-breaking number, PSY's smash-hit "Gangnam Style" music video has become the 17th most watched music video on the website.
Stirring up a bigger media frenzy last Thursday, the viral hit tune grabbed the No. 2 on the chart an inch behind Maroon 5, who is now ruling the chart for the second straight week with "One More Night."
The hype is built up even more as the rapper-singer has been mentioned by many accredited global newspapers and music-related magazines as the next ruler of the chart.
Should he wins the race with Maroon 5 to top Billboard Hot 100 next week, he will become the first Korean artist to sit on the throne in the U.S. music market.
