"My Husband Got a Family" is new frontrunner on weekly TV charts

KBS’ weekend series “My Husband Got a Family” stormed its way up on the weekly TV charts and landed in the first spot during the second week of March.

In the midst of the steady winnings of MBC’s “The Moon Embracing the Sun” on various TV charts during the last few months, “My Husband” stood atop on the list by drawing in weekly viewership ratings of 29.9 percent between March 5 and 11, according to a report by TNmS( Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Monday.

The drama, starring actress Kim Nam-joo and actor Yoo Joon-sang, kicked off its premiere on February 25 and has been a competitor against former winner "Moon."

SBS’ “Salaryman, Cho Han Ji,” only two episodes of ending its run, landed in second with 23 percent of audience tuning in, followed by KBS’ “Gag Concert” in third with ratings of 22.6 percent and KBS’ daily series “My One and Only” in fourth with a score of 22.5 percent.

MBC’s mega-hit series “The Moon Embracing the Sun” came in fifth place with ratings of 22 percent after a special aired instead of the final two episodes due to the director going on strike last week.

Meanwhile, AGB Nielson Media Research's poll showed a similar trend with slightly different numbers with "My Husband" at No. 1 with ratings of 29.8 percent and the special episode of "The Moon Embracing the Sun" standing at No. 2 with ratings of 24.5 percent.

KBS' entertainment program "Gag Concert" came in third place with ratings 22.2 percent and daily series "My One and Only" landed in the fourth by drawing in ratings of 21.6 percent.
